Clan History

Once there were two sisters named Rose and Blossom. They were loners who had traveled far trying to find a place to live. One night they had stumbled across a beautiful territory and found a clearing to rest for the night. They found a place in a cave under a tall, jutting rock. As the moon was at the highest point the two sisters sat up and pricked there ears. A cat shimmering with starlight stepped down to them. Her name...Ashflight. She told them an ancient story, that this was her clan's territory until they had all gone. They were to gather many cats for a new clan and one would lead the clan, and therefore deciding the name of the clan. That night she taught them everything they needed to know about a clan. The next morning, doing as they were told, gathered many cats, loners and kittypets alike to join. The problem remained of choosing a leader, and the two often fought about it. One day after another fight Blossom ran out into the territory. She was heated with anger and raked a tree with her claws, an angry fox crawled out of a tunnel under the tree. Growling, it chased her through the forest until they reached a narrow canyon. Blossom whirled around to face it. She took a step backward, but the rock collapsed beneath her, sending her to certain doom. As Rose learned of this her eyes darkened with grief and guilt. Under a cherry blossom tree she found the fox, eyes burning with anger she avenged her sister's death. Her sister's pelt brushed lightly against her own and Rose breathed her sent. Blossom promised her sister she would guide her through leading their clan....Roseclan.
