A Dark Prophecy Part 15

Riverpaw knew she had to get up and train, go on patrol, hunt, and take care of the clan, but she missed Stonepaw so much that she couldn't. After a few days she was still experiencing grief, but knew helping her can is what Stonepaw would want her to do. She got up and padded into the middle of the camp. Riverpaw was very hungry, but couldn't bring herself to eat as she didn't contribute any prey for the clan. She asked Flamepaw, Whiteshadow, and Firestorm if they wanted to hunt with her. They nodded and informed Shadowfang. Then, they set out towards the Smooth Rock. Hunting wasn't the best. Firestorm caught a vole and a rabbit that wasn't scrawny, but wasn't very large either. Whiteshadow was lucky to find a mouse burrow that had been widened somehow and caught a large, fat mouse. Riverpaw came back with three mice and a vole, but Flamepaw came back with only a single squirrel. Riverpaw dropped one of her mice for him to pick up. He showed it in his eyes that he was grateful. The group met up and shared their findings, covering their prey to try for more. Wildblaze rushed in panting and rasped " The Clan is under attack!" They quickly darted back to the camp and saw that the rouges were outnumbering their clanmates! She looked around to find Thorn, Dawnstar was busy fighting the deputy, Scar, and Shadowfang was facing three rouge warriors. It was not until she spotted him, holding Cinderpaw down, that made her angry at the rouges and fearful for her clan. Before she could move a muscle, Icefang rushed to save his daughter, but Thorn threw him off with much force and he crashed into the wall. He was about to strike Cinderpaw, but Riverpaw charged forward and dug her front claws deep into his side. He howled and as he let go, Cinderpaw fled towards the other fighters, trying to win a fight she had at least a chance in. Time seemed to stop with Riverpaw standing there facing the rouge leader, but this fight was something she must win. Tensing to leap, she stood there, waiting...
