A Dark Prophecy Part 19

Riverpaw waited, sound drowned out by the blood pulsing through her ears. Nothing..."Is this Starclan?" she thought. She didn't dare open her eyes though to see...where ever Starclan hunted. After a while she opened her eyes and let out a shocked mew. Flamepaw had lept on his father and they were fighting, Flamepaw at a disadvantage, but still hanging on. The two had rolled out of night cave and into the clearing, where the rest of the fighting was happening.

Riverpaw looked for Flamepaw among the other cats. She froze when she saw...Thorn had him pinned down, but he couldn't kill his son...Riverpaw was relieved. Her heart was chilled once more as Scar leaped to Thorn's side and advanced on Flamepaw. Thorn simply lept into battle. She new, even without her powers, and could tell that Scar would kill him. Before she could move a silver she-cat rouge lept out of a tree onto Scar. Flamepaw jumped back, watching them fight. "You...killed...my sister!" she yowled angrily at Scar. He looked surprised by the attack, and she easily pinned him down. It was over in one blow and Scar forever held that surprise on his face. The battle stopped. The rouges looked in horror. Scattering away, they left the clan cats to view the damage. Seven rouges lay dead on the ground...and...Hawkpaw. Flamepaw rushed to him and Swiftwing hurried over. "His breathing is faint" she whispered. Dawnstar stepped forward and said "Then we must give him his warrior name" Swiftwing nodded after finishing her work on Hawkpaw's side. "This apprentice has given his life to his clan, and we will honor him by giving him his warrior name. Hawkpaw, from this moment on you shall be known as Hawkstrike." she mewed. Hawkstrike painfully smiled, but faintly. Hawkstrike stopped breathing, and the clan bowed their heads. The silver she-cat that had killed Scar sat a farther out from the other cats,but had grief in her eyes. Then, the clan one by one noticed her, and turned. Finally, Flamepaw asked "Who are you?"
