Starlight Destiny Part 3

Dawnstar sat outside her den, the early morning breeze ruffling her fur. "Is Sunpaw in Starclan?" she thought. Before she could even move to get a piece of fresh-kill, the Dawn Patrol burst through the camp entrance. "Dawnstar" Pouncefang panted. "We found the scent of other rouges on our territory...and found...blood, cat blood." he mewed, Riverfrost, Shinestream, and Spottedpaw behind him. "Check the camp!" Dawnstar cried out. Warriors found their families and everyone checked for someone else. "We're all here" Wildblaze mewed. "Tallfur, Flamefall, Lunabreeze, and Silverfang, go out into the territory and try to find this cat..." Dawnstar whispered. The party walked grimly into the forest.

When they returned, Dawnstar was tearing at a mouse. She stood and left her meal when the group came into the camp with a tortoiseshell she-cat. "Do we know who this cat is?" Dawnstar asked. Then, Blare bursted forward, greif clouding her eyes. "It's...It's my sister" she mewed sadly. Skye and Ash came to comfort her, but she shook her head and shared tounges a final time with her sister, the rest of the clan followed. When darkness fell, Blare, Skye, and Ash sat her vigil. They leaned on each other as the rest of the cats plodded into their dens. "What I'd like to know is who killed her, and are they sending us a warning" Dawnstar whispered under her breath so only she could hear.

In the morning Dawnstar awoke with Thornmask by her side, "Thornmask?" she asked. He cleared his throat and mewed "I would like to lead a patrol looking for Sunpaw" Dawnstar shook her head and sighed "You can't, Sunpaw could be dead, you don't even know which way she went. Plus, a cat has been murdered on our territory. We need all the warriors we can get." He looked frustrated and then said "But..." and was cut off by Dawnstar "I will visit The Moon Crystal tonight. I will speak with Starclan." He nodded and left her den. She stretched and headed for Swiftwing's den.

"Shadowfang and Wildblaze are in charge of the camp" she yowled out, before darting into the forest. Dawnstar was running as fast as she could to The Moon Crystal. "I need to learn more about what's happened" she thought.
